Shortcut: “An accelerated way of doing or achieving something.”

Apart from avoiding heavy traffic, I don’t see the point of them. Anything that comes easy in life has the ability to disappear in a puff of smoke. That’s why I don’t trust cutting corners.

Life is in a state of flux. Ups and downs all day, every day. If your goal is to obtain easy money and once you reach THAT number you think everything will be peachy… Got some news for ya’. Better yet I’ll leave you to it. If you’ll obtain that kind of wealth you’ll find out on your own. Maybe you’ll find happiness. Who knows? Some humans are genuinely content lying on a yacht and drinking mimosas.

I would be bored out of my mind. Yeah, I said it. I’m bad at this relaxing thing for an extended period of time. I get twitchy. Restless. Though being glued to my chair while lettering for more than 3h40’ and listening to podcasts is perfectly fine. It relaxes me. It’s like a spring cleaning for my brain. Creating abstract illustrations and typing words have the same effect. Even when it’s frustrating. Even when I say “this is shite” but I start painting the letters of the next quote. Even when I need to completely scrap the previous draft of an article.

Doing is my relaxation.

I love the struggle. Climbing a mountain sounds more enjoyable to me than reaching the peak. It’s a fifty-fifty chance to find fog, wind, and rain or fluffy clouds and shining skies. Why not cherish each step you take? I would rather watch the snapshots of the journey than the 360° panorama view from the top.

On second thought, I would love both. “Both” is always the answer.

Yeah, I know that saying “it’s better to cry in a Ferrari than on a public bus.” Did anyone cry in one and the other? I’m super curious to know the difference. When you’re distraught you don’t give a rat’s derriere about how much you got in your bank account.

Or maybe that’s just me.

Thank you for reading!
