How to link a picture from your Instagram account to a story you’ve written on Medium in less than 4 steps.

If there is another way to do this please comment. I’ve tried so many and read so many articles and this is the only way that I have been able to make it happen.

It’s not perfect, but it works.

Warning: these instructions are for a Mac. I have a Mac. You should too.

Step 1: Take a screenshot of your Instagram post (CMD+Shift 4 and select what you want to include in your screenshot)

Step 2: On your computer, Click the “+” and click the photo button.

Step 3: Locate the screenshot you took and hit Enter. Your picture should now populate.

Step 4: Click on the screenshot of the Instagram post in your article. It should highlight in green. Hit ⌘+K and a popup will appear giving you the option to paste the link to your post. Copy the instagram post link and hit return.

That’s it.
