Clayton Wood, Picnic CEO, to Present at Foodservice Robotics Pioneers and Receive Award at HIP for Most Disruptive Company in Robotics
Seattle-based Picnic™, an innovator of food production technology and Robotics-as-a-Service (RaaS) solutions, announced today that Picnic was selected by Hospitality Innovation Planet (HIP) as “The Most Disruptive Company” in the Robotics category and will be presented the award at the Foodservice Robotics Pioneers event sponsored by HIP. CEO Clayton Wood will speak at the Foodservice Robotics Pioneers event held in Madrid, Spain Feb. 24–26.
Foodservice Robotics Pioneers aims to democratize robotics within the hospitality sector, and has invited innovative and forward-thinking professionals to speak about innovations leading the food “robolution.” Clayton will speak about food made by robots in ghost kitchens, how robots will change the way we eat and drink, and the new business models that will surface thanks to robotics.
“We are honored to receive the HIP award for Most Disruptive Company in Robotics,” said Clayton Wood, Picnic CEO. “The recognition we have received in the last 5 months has been tremendous. Food technology is still young and it has been exciting to see all of the innovation happening in the space.”
The Foodservice Robotics Pioneers will look at the role robotics is anticipated to play in the future of food and whether there will be a new definition of restaurants born out of the entry of robotics technology. The event is aimed at hospitality industry executives, investors, entrepreneurs and restaurateurs who want to apply robotic solutions.
