Fair and balanced. Balanced and fair.

Odd these two words, set this way, mirror one another in vastly different ways. When a social polarity or mob is involved, the measure of each is offset by the base on which it stands. The mind is a machine that seeks patterns and reinforces them while discarding conflicts. Only when those conflicts are so great, do they create a new pattern, so we “understand”.

Social consciousness is just a magnification of this simple human artifact. When the base of justice, fairness, and balance rest on our trust of the masses, we can expect that the pendulum will swing. It’s what the founding fathers understood, and tried to protect us from. It’s a privilege and a curse. The speed of communication is now speeding us to it’s logical conclusion
