Designing in Figma

Using Frames and Artboards

Frames in Figma are similar to artboards in other design tools. They help you organize your design by grouping related elements.

  1. Creating Frames: Select the Frame tool (F) from the toolbar and draw a frame on the canvas. You can also choose from preset device sizes in the properties panel.
  2. Resizing Frames: Click and drag the edges or corners to resize. Hold Shift to maintain aspect ratio.

Adding Shapes and Text

  1. Shapes: Use the shape tools (rectangle, circle, line, etc.) from the toolbar. Click and drag on the canvas to create shapes.
  2. Text: Select the Text tool (T), click on the canvas, and start typing. Use the properties panel to adjust font, size, color, and other text properties.
