Nice piece, as a computer science engineer (student) I always thought of computers as being stupid, and we make them smart. I also agree that we shouldn’t let computers (or any other kind of technology) make us stupider. I think of people using GPS and turn by turn directions every time they go somewhere and never learn to actually drive somewhere without help. They never learn to rely on themselves and their own intelligence rather than some stupid computer.

So thanks for this, it’s been on my mind for a while and I’m glad to see there are others who care about keeping our humanity in the midst of all this technology.
