It’s one thing to make a point about gender inequality by designing an icon with the same sort of size and shape inequality as the original, but I feel it would be a much more respectable request if male and female characters were ultimately equal sized. I don’t find fault with making an “equally unequal” suggestion for the sake of making a cultural point, so long as it is not a serious request for the opposite sort of inequality.
