Pine & Fur
Aug 25, 2017 · 2 min read

Today we woke up with the sun and got an early start on the road. While leaving camp, we passed a lone bison being stalked by a coyote, so that was pretty cool.

We drove through more of Badlands National Park, and then headed for Black Hills, and Spearfish Canyon Scenic Bypass. It was interesting to see how drastically the terrain changes throughout the state of South Dakota — the East is filled with fields as far as the eye can see, while the West is full of rolling hills and large pine trees.

Overall today was fairly uneventful. After lots of driving we decided to settle into a nice campground in Spearfish, Kyle attempted to get some work done, and I attempted my first load of laundry. We had a nice, relaxing end to the day, completed by our first good night of sleep!
