As a UX/UI designer when it comes to graphic designing such as icons, infographics or illustrations we always think of outsourcing it those expertising in graphic design to impress our clients and get their approvals. So normally we frantically devour the internet aka Google for the right sources to cater to our required needs. The below sources we have gathered will not only help you be one woman/man army but also inspire various graphic ideas in you!

1) https://www.flaticon.com

Flaticon is my go-to-site for any kind of iconography I need in my designs. The best part about them is that they provide the icons in various formats i.e PNG, SVG, EPS, PSD etc. So, it’s easier to edit it or customize it to match your design. They also provide a platform to graphic designers or even designers like us to contribute & expose our work to the outer world. Flaticon.com is a boon to all designers and the developers out there.

2) https://freepik.com & https://www.vecteezy.com

Standing strong at number 2 are the above links. There are days when you would want to spice up your designs and add some illustrations to them instead of boring flat colour icons etc.. These are your go-to-sites for those moments. This is where you should look to jazz up your designs. You can download a.i or .eps formats and get editing. Both of these formats are supported by Adobe Illustrator where you can customize them to your heart’s content.

3) https://icons8.com

This websites speciality lies in providing icons from the latest UI trends! Here you can search for flat icons that are filtered by filled and outlined iconography. You can type your icon’s name in the search bar & choose the category/style you want it in, once you’ve defined what it is that your website’s style requires. If you haven’t decided on a style, just search by the icon you require and various styles will show up on their list.

2019 is the year for “custom icons/illustrations” and so this makes our life easier for those in a hurry or those who cannot illustrate.

4) https://piktochart.com/

This website is great for those designers looking to create infographics, quick presentations, report chats, flyers or posters etc. This is a one-stop-shop for designers to get brilliant yet easy illustrations. This website allows you to use images from free licensed photography sites as well as it allows you to upload your own pictures and add illustrations to them! They have a collection of small to large graphics and it acts as a massive time saver and super easy-to-use tool for the on-the-go UX/UI designer as well non-designers!

We hope that this post helped you and would love to know if you guys have any other tool sources to share with others in the comments below. Follow Pineapple on Medium.
