Thanks for the update, though this isn’t good news (but it’s always better to have actual information than to be in the dark). You guys have done amazing work over the years, and I thank you. I used to make my own pack before coming upon yours, so I know how much effort it takes to produce something that has a unified style and where all the individual textures complement each other.
Yeah, life has the disadvantage that it doesn’t care about our hobbies, <wry grin>. This news will not make my server compatriots happy, since they’ve voted to wait with upgrading to 1.13 because nobody wants to do without Soartex; everything is built with that in mind.
I’d like to offer my help, but my life, like that of most, isn’t conducive to a lot more firm commitments, and I don’t want to promise somebody I’ll help only to flake out. I’ve not worked on resource packs since that’s what texture packs became, so I am not familiar with how that differs, but I am a programmer by trade so I don’t expect it’ll be a problem in itself. Could you give me some idea of how much work would be required so I could better assess whether I could commit to that?
You can email me at “piranha at gooroos dot com” (suitably massaged to be an actual address) if you’re interested.
