STOP SCREAMING IN MY HOME

So a thought. I have no disagreement with your increase in moderation. I just am wondering to what degree (if any) this affects a community’s ability and desire to make the world more awesome, by productively engaging with those uninitiated in the social norms of the community.

Example. Quite a few times I’ve seen nerdfighters (members of one of hank’s communities) respond to uncouth comments with something akin to “you must be new here, but this isn’t the way we do things…” and then a gentle explanation/encouragement concluding with the ever present reminder to not forget to be awesome! It seriously bolsters my faith in humanity.

Anyone have any thoughts?

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
