“Don’t move the dog dish.”

At the end of a very short meeting, the owner decided “don’t move the dog dish” — opposed to moving-forward with our (client-name)2.0 project efforts. We had already spent about six months planning and designing what we saw as the perfect next step for the company, and as the lead Designer, I took this “flick of the pen” decision like a punch to the throat.
