I could rail against zillions of threats that are fostered by the contemporary era against creativity. However, World Wide Web is at the shore of my thoughts when I think about how devastatingly major menace it has been. Ironically, as the technological frontiers have extended the horizons of tools that help channel the creativity, the anonymity and lynch-mob mentality propelled by internet has taken away from the creativity.

Content originators can feel the pain of such moves. Imagine this: You wake up and create logo design for business that is exceptionally unique, you decide to sell it off through online forums but the next thing you see is it being widely copied, that also without the due credits. The plight of original content going literally down the drain is one thing, but the hampering impact it has on your future creativity endeavors is something that you literally give consideration to.

Now I know what are you guys thinking- “Oh we have copy rights and cybercrime rules”. This is exactly where we all get it wrong. Once it’s gone on internet, ITS GONE ON INTERNET. There’s no coming back to it. You can fight for your right and police people around into following the laws, but your efforts aren’t rewarded without certain level of monetary investment (may be in form of bribe if you are living somewhere the bribe is worshipped).

With serious plagiarism issues, you have to be careful if you want to create logo for business that truly speaks for its uniqueness. Here are some really useful tips you can follow.

Ditch the trends

Yes, figure out the trends and then run the other way round. The word trend itself implies a bandwagon impact. How can you expect to come up with a unique business logo if you keep following the footsteps of others?

Define Your Inspiration

Do you immediately fall in love with other designer’s work and try to imitate? There’s a line between inspiration and plagiarism. For once, try to find inspiration in natural things instead of work done by others.

Channel Your Creativity

Keep channeling your “original” creativity no matter how juvenile and amateurish it feels. Just keep doing it and you will perfect it. There’s no need to copy the top-notch designers and end up falling in their footprints. Bit by bit, you will get to a point where you can furnish you juvenile designs into finest art works and create logo for business that is flawless.
