[Carpe PM] The Objective

There are numerous helpful blogs on the internet listing the ideal practices and checks to do in a product manager’s job. I for one, am not someone who has been in product management for long. Neither do I have frameworks and white-papers on how to be a great PM. Which brings the user to questioning-

Who am I?
I am a computer science graduate from Indian Institute of Technology, Indore who after working for about a year as a software developer moved on to join Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. Being extremely passionate about technology and armed with a degree in management, I decided to join the corporate world as a Product Manager.

Why another PM blog?
The purpose here is different. The idea is to create a massive A/B test network of mangers, where we pick up a framework weekly/monthly, critically analyse it by using it in our real life jobs and discuss here.

Why do I need other PMs?
Because distributed computing > single machine. Especially when there are hundreds of industry experts actively trying out things from this platform.

To summarise, the objective of this story-series is to create a discussion platform for product managers to try out things and share the feedback.
I will be periodically sharing
- Issue/problem I’ve been facing and feels generic for any PM
- Relevant posts/frameworks/articles which can help improve our daily practices
- (Hopefully) My take on how issues can be dealt, operations can be streamlined, customers/users can be targeted, financial estimates can be made and data can be analysed using tools available in the market.

Sieze the day. Carpe PM.
