Imagine what markets might exist in the future, and ask why they don’t yet exist.
I camped out with a tech billionaire. The advice he gave me was priceless.

This is a hilarious thing to write above a quote by Tesla as he had absolutely no interest in creating new markets. In fact, Tesla’s vision was to provide free electric power to society, and his backer JP Morgan screwed him over for it because he did a great job of imagining a future market even though it stifled innovation and arguably made society worse. The first point is correct: people are resistant to change, and if Tesla’s story shows anything, it’s that those people are typically the billionaires of the time who fear losing everything in the face of real innovative genius.
