Surgery was Thursday morning and was a success. I was released from the hospital Friday morning. I pretty much slept all day Friday and most of Saturday. I felt like I was over medicated.

It’s Sunday morning and I feel sore, tired, and wimpy. The gas pain from laparoscopic surgery is in my chest and shoulders and that hurts worse than my actual incisions. It hurts to breathe deep and cough. They sent me home with liquid pain medication but I haven’t taken it because I was so sleepy. I did take two Tylenol this morning. The pain isn’t really that bad, but feeling weak and wimpy is. I imagine I will feel this way for awhile because I am on a liquid diet. I need to try and drink something other than water today to see if that helps.

Little sips of water make me full, like Thanksgiving full. I’m not hungry, but I’m constantly thirsty.

This part is not fun. I look forward to feeling better.

This is my fat squishy belly with it’s six incisions. The only part that hurts is where they pulled my stomach out as indicated by the bright pink arrow.

What the heck is up with her belly button? That, my dear friends, is an umbilical hernia. It was a token of remembrance from my hysterectomy. It’s fixable.
