Correlation does not imply causation. Simply saying x is true and that’s what is causing y means nothing with zero facts to back it up. That’s great that they’re usually more agreeable. I don’t care. It’s zero evidence to say that’s why they’re not getting raises. You’re not even seeing where you’re making your illogical assumptions. That’s the problem with the paper. People are absolutely blind to the baseless assumptions being presented as fact, so much so, that they’re willing to defend it aggressively.
