I honestly think this will be the ebb and flow of the league for the next century. A team dominates a decade playing small ball until somebody comes along and proves that the only way to beat small and space is to put giants in the paint and let them cook. Imagine Shaq in today’s league, there isn’t a single person who could guard him 1-on-1. You’ve got a decade of big dominance. Then when the bigs get old, the space and pace will come back into flow as the only way to wear down a big is to run them ragged and out of the paint.
