Political Correctness…Our society’s virtue, not its disease!

I’m tired of all of the badmouthing the “tell it like it is” crowd” relentlessly gives to the “politically correct”. In my view, political correctness in our society’s virtue, not its disease(like the “tell it like it is” crowd would like us to believe). A society works best when we aspire to achieve spiritual and economic achievement for all. In doing so, however, we must sadly recognize our true societal make-up; that being we have a range of people with varying degrees of ethics, morals and prejudice. If “telling it like it is” means giving voice to those who are prejudiced, immoral or unethical, which seems more apparent by the day, I’m all for keeping a lid on it. Political correctness, on the other hand, keeps society’s virtuous intent at the forefront, hopefully keeping a lid on the voice of some of those with inherent evils. History can repeat itself.
