Did Healthcare.gov Just Get Hacked?
On most days after I’ve woken up and gotten ready for the day I check my personal email for updates on the different news feeds and blogs that I follow. But this morning I got a little surprise:

Wow an email, out of the blue, from Healthcare.gov! And the best part? They reset my password on their own just to “ensure that your information stays as safe as possible”.
Now I’m not any IT expert, but I know it’s not normal to just reset everyone’s password at a whim to make sure “information stays safe”.
So naturally I wondered if anyone else was sent the same message? Lo and behold, other acquaintances I have who went through the marketplace received the same wonderful email.
So was it hacked? or was it simply a database problem? I’m not the one to tell you. All I know is that it’s obvious something big went down, and we don’t know for how long.
So as a cautionary note, if you used the marketplace you may want to keep an eye on your financials, just as you’ve had to do with the other semi-recent big data leaks.
