Sons Build Kingdom Legacy
“Your son, whom I will place on your throne, will build the Temple to honor my name.” 1 Kings 5:5 NLT
God is the God of generations. He always has been and he always will be.
Whenever he embarks on accomplishing something eternal, he always chooses fathers and sons. I have been blessed to be a part of this generational chain and pray that you also would find your place in the father|son pattern that God uses.
It would have been completely logical and even normal for David to have built the magnificent temple to the Lord. This is not how God chose to do it.
Once again, he establishes his covenant pattern by choosing a son of David to carry out the vision.
All throughout the word from Abraham to Isaac to Jesus and his 12 disciples, the pattern of natural and spiritual fathers passing on legacy to their sons is repeated.
Takeaway: where is your place in the generational pattern of fathers and sons?
To say that you simply do not have a father or no one will father you is never an excuse!
It is ultimately all of our duty, male and female, young and old, experience and novice to take our place in the kingdom as a son… and eventually a father.
