The Last Word

“A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.” Ephesians 6:10 NLT
At the end of Paul’s great epistle to the Ephesians we are given this final charge to “be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power”. This is a short statement that speaks volumes. It says to me that no matter what may happen to you, you have to stay in faith! You have to keep trusting.
You have to keep believing in the mighty power of God no matter what your circumstances are shouting.
At the end of all doctrine, theology, preaching, or supernatural experience, the bottom line is that in the midst of it all we must stand in faith and declare our complete trust in the Lord Jesus Christ. This is not a conditional declaration. Paul experienced more hardship and persecution then we will ever see, but he remained steadfast in his faith and could boldly declare this statement to be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power!
Takeaway: you may feel like giving up today in some area of your walk with God are in life in general. Don’t do it!
Be strong in the mighty power that comes from heaven.
Don’t rely on yourself and expect to be strong.
Look to the cross and trust the Holy Spirit inside of you.
