Placardly is a call-to-action builder for WordPress that allows adding your call-to-actions on top of your links and shortlinks.

Besides enabling you to add call-to-action on sites that you own, it also enables you to add call-to-action on sites that you don’t own.

For instance, if you wanted to share a New York Times article in a group on Facebook, you could add your own call-to-action on top of the article using Placardly even though you don’t own New York Times.

Now let’s talk about what Placardly actually is:

Call To Action Builder

Call-to-action, or placard, is simply a button or a combination of buttons, texts, images, and videos that influence your visitors to click and take actions.

Placardly call-to-actions always remain visible on top of the screen even when visitors scroll down the page.

This increases the visibility of your call-to-actions at all times therefore helps maximize your conversions from your website and shortlinks.

Placardly has one of the simplest call-to-action builders that is also very customizable.

You can add images and videos, add graphics to your backgrounds, choose its layout, and do a lot more.

Its easy to use builder makes building different types of placards as easy as clicking on some buttons.

Besides, you can set a default call-to-action that will be shown to all your shortlinks, pages, and posts if you don’t want to go through the trouble of adding placards individually.

The texts, images, videos, and all other settings of your default placards are automatically inherited when you decide to edit your placards individually.

This takes away to necessity of setting the same thing over and over again when you decide to edit individual placards.

Types of Call To Actions:

Call to action is at the core of how Placardly works.

It allows adding your call-to-actions on shortlinks, posts, and pages on WordPress.

Here are some examples of the call-to-actions you can create with Placardly:

Topbar: Topbar is what you usually see in websites in the form of a notice that is located at the top of the webpage. Topbars are a very common form of call-to-actions and are usually found in all sorts of websites.

Sidebar: Often you will see a sidebar on the left or right side of a screen. Though sidebars are usually used to link to related contents on the webpage, Placardly makes sidebars more useful by displaying your call-to-actions on them.

Popup: It’s a kind of call-to-action that is displayed directly on top of the website contents. Therefore whatever is underneath the popup becomes invisible. Because of this, popups can grab your visitor’s attention the most.

Banner: Banners are usually comprised with images or videos, and texts. They are very common for displaying ads on webpages. Placardly takes advantage of these banners by enabling you to display your call-to-actions in the form of banners.

Chat: It is similar to how chats and messages are displayed be messaging platforms. This type of call-to-action gives visitors a feeling that the messages are important and that they are coming from real humans. Thereby making the call-to-actions stand out among the other contents of the website.

Beside these call-to-action types, there are a lot of possible call-to-action types that you can create with Placardly, thanks to its flexible call-to-action builder.

In addition, Placardly lets you add backgrounds with colors, gradients, and images that can be used as the background of all your call-to-actions as well as as the color of all your buttons.

This alone gives your call-to-actions a limitless design flexibility that can be used to customize your call-to-actions to perfectly match your unique brand style.

Branded Link Shortener

Link shortener is a built in feature in Placardly and all the shortlinks created with it are branded with your own domain name by default.

So, you don’t need to deal with the traditional bit.ly or some other third party domains in your shortlinks.

Instead, all your shortlinks use your own domain name and perfectly conveys your brand name to everyone seeing you shortlinks.

You can shorten links of sites that you own as well as sites that you don’t own using your own branded domain name.

Compared to traditional link shorteners, Placardly shortlinks work a little differently.

That is, when someone clicks on a link shortened with Placardly, the link opens up inside your own website instead of redirecting to the destination site.

Therefore, your shortlink visitors are kept inside your website instead of being sent away.

This allows you to show them your call-to-actions and turn them into leads and buyers which isn’t possible with other link shorteners.

When you shorten any links with Placardly, it will automatically fetch the title, icon, image, and other relevant information of the link so that your shortlinks behave exactly like the destination site.

So, the only thing you need to do is enter your shortlink text, and your destination link.

That’s it. Your shortlinks are automatically ready and they are equipped with you default call-to-actions without needing to set up anything.

Marketing Tools

All the call-to-actions built with Placardly gets displayed to your visitors for as long as they visit your webpages and shortlinks thereby helping you convert more of your visitors into leads and buyers.

Besides the call-to-actions, Placardly does a lot more that help with your marketing effort.

For instance, it enables you to add your Google Tag Manager ID which is then used in all of your shortlinks.

This opens up possibilities like adding your Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, Google Ads Remarketing, Microsoft Clarity, and all sorts of analytics, tracking, remarketing, and optimization on your shortlinks.

You just need to add your Google Tag Manager ID in the Placardly settings page and add whatever you want in your Google Tag Manager container to fully take advantage of your shortlinks.

By adding your Facebook, Google, and other remarketing pixels, you can follow up with your shortlink visitors even when they leave your site.

Show them your ads on Facebook and other places based on which pages they visited on your site, what actions they took, and so on.

That is to say, some site owners doesn’t want to allow displaying call-to-actions on their sites.

Placardly respects this by default therefore instead of allowing to add call-to-actions on those sites, they gets redirected behaving like any other link shorteners.

But unlike traditional link shorteners, all your analytics, targeting, remarketing, and optimizations work as expected with Placardly even when the destination site doesn’t allow displaying call-to-actions.
