People have mentioned that in the case of the ATM, other languages apart from English should be added to the interface. My opinion is that it won’t work or won’t be as effective. Our languages are written in borrowed Latin characters that have been modified to fit. In my experience, people who can read their own language will have some sort of education so understanding English for such people isn’t a challenge. Audiovisuals however is a different case. I propose audio instructions paired with visuals will work best. At this point, each ATM will be housed in some sort of pod or kiosk for reasons of privacy and audibility of the instructions when you have to use audio.
