Instead of just watching from the sidelines in our top hotel, Lava Lux, grab our energizing Redboar drink and jump into the action by registering for Planetary Defense. There will be a small fee to support the Planetary Defense organization(90 TLM). Then, your WAX wallet will be automatically reviewed, and any relevant assets will be updated on your profile. Planetary Defense (PD) is a non-custodial game, meaning you keep your NFTs. A computer program reviews your wallet for changes throughout the day and updates your stats in real-time. We’ll quickly see if you have what it takes to survive here.
To begin playing the game, you need at least one Alien Worlds face NFT or one land from a eligible planet, with a rarity of common or above (each rarity offers different advantages). You can find these on the secondary market or purchase them through the Shards program on Alien Worlds’ official channels. Once you have land or a face NFT, many more options become available. Faces act as commanders, they lead troops, and their rarity determines the number of crew slots they can fill. Crew fill slots automatically, selected based on which ones provide the most advantage. You have incredible customization options, allowing you to build your army exactly how you want it. Keep in mind that the stats can either help or hurt you; a great defense isn’t always a strong offense. Movement costs are significant in offensive battles, as they can extend the time needed for your next attack. the heavier the army, the slower it moves. So, strategically assemble your forces…
Mercenaries and landowners can also purchase a Forge. This powerful weapons teleportal building allows each Crew NFT to equip one weapon NFT, optimizing your stats and boosting your scores along the way. Be aware, this building is expensive and a beast to construct, but it provides a significant strategic advantage on the battlefield.
If you are a valued landowner! Given the current threats, the Council is automatically registering all eligible lands for Planetary Defense grants. The primary objective of Planetary Defense is to protect your lands from the threats that roam its territories. Strategic expansion is the cornerstone of Planetary Defense. Owning multiple territories not only broadens your influence but also augments your rewards and army capacity. However, it’s a delicate balance; every additional land divides your overall defense. Your goal is to find the optimal balance between expanding your territory and maintaining a formidable defense to survive the relentless waves of attacks. You will have a month to prepare strategies to defend your territory. The defense of the planet rests on you, and it is your duty to provide the necessary score. Our intel and news channels, like “Merch Today”, will keep you in the loop on whether you’ve got the necessary data score to hold the line. If successful, we will send rewards for your efforts in defending the planet.
Trillium will be send to your in-game chest. This chest is earmarked for you but isn’t fully yours yet. You will receive a Trillium extraction automatically to your wallet with each payout. You automatically receive a free 1% base reward from your total game chest on every payout instance… but the extraction can be faster with an upgraded chest and a participation in the planet’s governance (Alien Worlds Vote Power).
If you’re starting with a small budget, an Abundant Crew NFT provides a basic entry score. But, for more serious gamers, common and above offer much better. Be mindful of the shine level, as this also boosts your stats and frees up valuable slots. The rarity of each face opens slots for you to fill with crew members. Once you have a few assets, your score will be registered on the Planetery Defense Website and Discord server. So, go say hi to your friends on discord and brag about your rank. While you’re there, register as a mercenary or warlord and start looking for some pals ready to beef up alongside you! If you’re good at negotiating, you can secure a decent payment for defending land from monstrous attacks, alongside your ambitious friends who are looking to raid the wealthiest landowners. Yay! War profiteering. After all, you’re all mercenaries!
Missions are the foundation of our game, and you can expect 2 to 4 attack missions per month, along with one defense mission monthly. Each mission is designed with its own technical specificities, providing varied and engaging challenges. You can find them on Planetary Defense website, on the missions tab.
In “Planetary Defense,” cooperative attack missions require players to join forces to achieve specific objectives, such as defeating enemy creatures or attacking hostile threats. Each mission has a fixed reward and a target attack point that players must collectively reach. The missions are timed and often increase in difficulty, with the challenge adjusting dynamically (becoming harder or easier based on certain conditions.) Completing these missions quickly secures rewards, speeds up their distribution, and accelerates the availability of subsequent missions.
- Players can send their attack score once every 3 hours, with an additional cooldown based on the movement cost of their Alien Worlds Crews NFTs. (Cooldown = 3 hours + 10 seconds * movecost.)
- When the progressive attack bar reaches the score target, the mission is considered successful, and rewards are distributed among the participants according to the proportion of attack points contributed.
- If the score target is not reached, the mission fails, and no rewards are granted.
Attack Mission promotes teamwork and strategic planning, requiring players to coordinate their efforts and manage their cooldowns effectively to achieve success.
Planetary Defense employs a meticulously crafted mapping system to determine the defense strength of your wallet across your lands.
At the beginning of each month, a new creature will emerge to threaten the lands. As a warlord (landowner), you will have the month to prepare your defenses. A specific time will be set for the attack, and you must fill the defense gauge and have the appropriate defenses ready by the designated date.
For landowners with multiple lands, troops will be automatically divided across their territories. Successfully defending your lands will earn you the displayed rewards, which will be split among all successful lands.
As a warlord, you have the opportunity to hire mercenaries (players) to support you in your defense efforts.Mercenaries who wish to support landowners must enter their WAX account name (WAM) and click on the “Engage” button in the mission tab on the website to offer their assistance. This action will align them with the landowner’s defense efforts, allowing them to contribute effectively to the defense missions.
In Planetary Defense, the PvP system revolves around defending and attacking chests filled with Trillium (TLM). Every three days, the player with the most TLM in their chest becomes the main target, initiating a 48-hour defense phase. During this period, the targeted player can bolster their defenses by acquiring more NFTs and enlisting the support of allies to strengthen their defense score. Following the defense phase, a 24-hour attack phase begins, where players can attempt to breach the defenses and loot the chest.
To avoid being targeted, players should strategically manage their chest balance, upgrade chest for faster TLM extraction, or increase involvement with Alien Worlds governance Vote Power. Successful defense earns the player protection for 30 days, ensuring their chest remains safe from attacks. However, if the defense fails, the unprotected chest will be equally shared among the attackers.
The list of the top 10 most fulfilled chests will be regularly updated on the “Merch Today” news channel and via our website, so there will be no surprises!
Payment System Overview:
When your land successfully defeats a creature, a reward is earned, the reward will be directly linked to your land chest, and will be stored. At a fixed date, you will receive a percentage of this reward, calculated by combining three different percentages: the base rewards percentage, the bonus acquired through in-game chest upgrades, and the influence of your vote power on the planet. These three percentages will add up to determine your payout reward.
Payout Calculation:
- Base Reward: The payout percentage amount as determined by the game’s base rules (maximum of 1%).
- Chest Purchase Bonus: A bonus percentage obtained through our in-game chest purchases (maximum of 40%).
- Vote Power Tier Influence: Your payout is influenced by the amount of vote power you possess on the planet, based on your tier (maximum of 20%). Note: Vote power speeds up TLM extraction but doesn’t provide additional rewards
Base Reward:
The base reward for each payout is 1% of the total amount in your game chest (Free).

- Tier 1:Level 1 — Basic Chest: 100 TLM(Payout and Protection 2.5%)
- Tier 1:Level 2 — Enhanced Chest: 200 TLM(Payout and Protection 5%)

As you progress through the various chest levels, the protection percentage increases, providing protected TLM against PvP looting. Additionally, the rewards payout extraction speeds up with each payout instance, allowing you to automatically claim a portion of the stored funds in your game chest

Vote Power is accessible to all players, not just a select few, and it keeps TLM under your control. It creates a natural synergy between our game and Alien Worlds. As more planets are unlocked, Vote Power will be linked to their respective DAOs. Like Chest, the advantage of Vote Power is that it speeds up the extraction of TLM from your game chest to your wallet, giving you quick access to your resources and reducing the risk of becoming a prime target in PvP attacks.
How Payouts Work:
Imagine you’ve accumulated 5,000 TLM in your chest. After successfully defeating a creature in a defense mission, you earn an additional 1,000 TLM, bringing the total stored TLM in your chest to 6,000. Additionally, your vote power on Magor (after decay) stands at 200,000 VP during the snapshot.
Here is how your Payout rewards is calculated:
Base Reward (1%):
Your base reward is 1% of the total TLM in the chest.
- Base Reward: 1% of 6,000 TLM = 60 TLM
Chest Percentage (10%):
Depending on your chest level, you receive a PvP protection and payout percentage. Let’s assume you are at level 4 with a 10%.
- Chest Percentage: 10% of 6,000 TLM = 600 TLM
VP Percentage (7%):
You also receive a 7% bonus TLM extraction based your Magor Vote Power.
- VP Percentage: 7% of the total TLM (6,000 TLM) = 420 TLM
Total Payout Rewards:
- Base Reward: 60 TLM
- Chest Percentage: 600 TLM
- VP Percentage: 420 TLM
Total: 60 TLM + 600 TLM + 420 TLM = 1,080 TLM
Therefore, your payout for your chest would be 1,080 TLM. After this payment, you will have 4,920 TLM remaining in your game chest for the next payout. This calculation ensures that you receive a portion of your stored TLM every payout based on your chest level, Vote power and the base reward rate, while the remaining amount continues to be tied to your game chest and is disbursed according to your percentage with each payout.
Each DAO, along with other sources, will have the option to contribute to the donation pool of each DAO. Reaching the 250,000 TLM target is a significant milestone for planets, as it fully integrates the planet’s lands into the Planetary Defense game and activates its territories. This achievement grants landowners full access to their lands and allows the inhabitants of the chosen planet to actively participate in Planetary Defense. TLM contributions are considered donations aimed at enhancing and supporting the chosen planet. All collected TLM will be fully allocated to the newly unlocked planet.
Upon purchasing a Forge, the system automatically assigns the best available items to your troops, considering their shine and rarity to provide additional bonuses. This strategic enhancement significantly boosts defense and attack capabilities, giving you an advantage in battles and ensuring your troops are always prepared to fend off threats. The Forge not only strengthens your forces but also adds a layer of tactical depth to your gameplay. Note that the Forge is expensive(10000 TLM), so you’ll need to decide if it’s worth!

The Planetary Defense Battle History and Leaderboard ranks players based on their performance across various activities, including attack missions, defense missions, and PvP battles. This ranking system provides a clear and competitive environment where players can see how they stack up against others in the game. It is also a comprehensive tool that allows players to track and analyze their past battles and rewards.

Faces Commanders (Faces.worlds):
Avatars are crucial elements of your strategy in the game. Each avatar’s rarity level directly affects the number of slots available for your troops.
Mythic (50 slots): The ultimate leaders with unmatched capacity.
Legendary (25 slots): Elite commanders with superior abilities.
Epic (7 slots): Strong leaders with impressive tactical advantages.
Rare (3 slots): Reliable commanders with solid performance.
Common (1 slot): Basic commanders to get you started.
Land Rarity (Land.worlds):
Planetary Defense introduce land rarity as a new strategic element, offering slots bonus. Similar to avatars, lands will have different levels of rarity. The rarer the land, the higher the slots bonus.
Legendary (125 slots): Legendary lands are the pinnacle of strategic bases. These lands are teeming with resources, perfectly adapted to support a vast and powerful army.
Epic (35 slots): Epic lands are highly advantageous for any commander. Rich in resources and well-suited for sustaining a large army.
Rare (15 slots): Rare lands offer a solid foundation for building a dependable defense. With moderate resources, these lands are well-equipped to support a capable and reliable army.
Common (5 slots): Common lands are basic yet essential territories. While they have fewer resources, they are still adapted to support a smaller defense setup.
Units Troops (crew.worlds) :
Each troop fills one Avatar slot in your defense. The system prioritizes and automatically selects the best troops based on their rarity, shine, and defense points.
Legendary (+25 attack / +25 defense): Giants among soldiers, these elite troops provide significant impact
Epic (+7 attack / +7 defense): Strong units.
Rare (+3 attack / +3 defense): Reliable troops.
Common (+1 attack / +1 defense): Basic units.
Abundant (1 attack / 1 defense): Entry-level units that provide 1 attack and 1 defense, regardless of the NFT card. Ideal for starting out.
Weapons and Shields (arms.worlds) :
Weapons and shields are deployed automatically on a troop after purchasing a forge. The system selects the best items based on their rarity, shine, and defense points. Note that weapons do not have a move cost.
Mythic (+50 attack / +50 defense): Top-tier gear. This equipment will turn your units into unstoppable forces, maximizing their effectiveness.
Legendary (+25 attack / +25 defense): High-level equipment that packs a punch. These weapons and shields offer great bonuses, making your troops formidable on the battlefield.

Shiny NFT faces will give you more available slots, while NFT crews and arms will have an improved score multiplier according to this formula:

One gold rare Robot Supersoldier with 17/13 point stats now gives:
Attack Stat: (17+3) x 3 = 60
Defense Stat: (13+3) x 3 = 48
Movement cost:
The Move Cost is an important game mechanic that determines how long a crew must wait before it can be moved or used again after an attack action in an offensive mission.
· Cooldown Formula: 3 hours (Base countdown) + 10 seconds * move cost.
