Dear Planqonauts,
The crypto market has been tough lately, with many projects shutting down. Naturally, we’ve received questions about the future of Planq. In this blog, we’ll dive into our plans and the exciting work we’re currently focused on.

Planq Network Remains Strong: The Mobile-First Vision is Unstoppable

Let’s get straight to the point: Planq Network is still running smoothly, and nothing has changed over the past few months. Our core team remains focused on maximizing value for the network and $PLQ. In short, there have been no major shifts in our operations, development, or commitment to delivering value.

We’ve had fewer updates recently because the team has been hard at work on Castrum (we’ll dive into that in the next section). As always, we’re active on Telegram and Discord daily, so feel free to ask us anything!

Looking ahead to 2025

By early 2025, Planq Network will be fully accessible via mobile. This opens up space on our roadmap for exciting new developments 👀. A portion of our efforts will focus on enhancing our Mobile-First applications: Physica Finance (DEX), Delta Swap (Bridge), Castrum (Mobile Super-Wallet), and our name service.

Additionally, several business partners have shown interest in exploring business software on Planq Network, such as Real-World Asset (RWA) projects. While some of these initiatives are still in the early stages, we look forward to sharing more updates on this exciting chapter soon.

Highlight: What’s New with Castrum

Let’s address the elephant in the room — Castrum. For those Planqonauts who might not know, Castrum is the current main focus of Planq Network. As our Mobile Super-Wallet, Castrum will become a cornerstone of the Planq ecosystem.

The development of Castrum is progressing smoothly. While we’re aiming for a V1 launch in October, we can’t commit to an official release date just yet. The timeline depends on how many chains we plan to support and the feedback we receive from our testing group.

We’re collaborating with several applications, teams, and blockchains to ensure that Castrum brings real value and stands out from other wallets.

Chains supported by Castrum

Castrum currently supports the following chains: Planq Network, Source, Archway, Cronos, Ethereum, Polygon, and Binance Smart Chain.

We’re planning to expand support to even more chains, making Castrum the only wallet you’ll ever need.

Castrum’s Current Features
Castrum offers staking, governance, and the address book for all supported chains. One standout feature is its ability to automatically recognize tokens in your wallet without requiring manual addition. For instance, if you create a new coin on $PLQ and send it to your friends, it will be instantly visible in their wallets.

We’ve also integrated the Planq Name Service into Castrum. This service will not only function on the Planq chain but will also be available for all chains implemented in Castrum, enhancing its overall value.

Additionally, before launch, Physica Finance DEX will be fully integrated, allowing seamless swaps between tokens.

Goal of Castrum

For us, Castrum is more than just a wallet; it will be the heart of Planq Network, bringing all applications directly to your mobile device. That’s why we’re collaborating with chains like Archway and Source.

If you want to test Castrum, please let us know on Telegram! Planqonauts, we need your help to build the best wallet possible!

Planq Network Chain upgrade

The “Bohr” blockchain Upgrade for the Planq Network brings a range of key improvements.

First, Cosmos ledger support enhances security for Cosmos users. The network is also moving to Cosmos SDK 0.47.11, making it more efficient and aligned with the latest Cosmos updates.

The EVM upgrade adds support for PUSH0 and other key features, making Ethereum compatibility even better. With Interchain Accounts and Liquid Staking, users can stake while keeping assets liquid across networks. Planq will also switch from Tendermint to Comet-BFT, improving performance and consensus.

One standout feature is automatic IBC-to-ERC20 conversion, making token transfers across networks seamless. The prioritized mempool ensures faster processing for transactions with higher fees.

In short, “Bohr” is a big step forward, boosting efficiency, cross-chain compatibility, and user experience.
