Unintuitive Lessons on Being a Designer
Julie Zhuo

Great article and I’m grateful for the advice. Thank you especially for addressing the issue of imposter-feeling, which definitely haunts me on the job. When you’re fresh out of college (i.e., 1–2 years out), it’s tough to find validation for your work when no one’s giving you a grade, which leads to you feeling that your work is never good enough. This is compounded for me because I’m the only UX person at my job, and the first of my kind at this small company.
