The Renaissance of The American Dream
The Economy of the United States has and always will go in cycles. These cycles result because of a number of factors. One of the most important factors is political climate.
For the last 8 years the United States has been governed under an administration headed by President Barack Obama. The Democrats took the reigns in 2008 and proceeded to institute policies which were born in the philosophy that there should be a distribution of wealth among all Americans, and that those who are most successful and fortunate should somehow pay for the maintenance of those less fortunate and successful. Because of this philosophy, the Obama Administration proceeded, through executive orders, to institute oppressive regulations upon business in an attempt to somehow “level the playing field”. The overwhelming mandate in 2010 and 2014 with the Republicans taking full control of the Congress and the Senate along with the victory of Donald J. Trump as President in 2016 clearly stated that America, American Business, and hard working Americans fully rejected President Obama’s path and direction.
2016 was perhaps the most important year in modern American History. The United States has always been the land of opportunity where someone, no matter where they were raised and no matter what economic position they grew up in, if they worked hard, seized opportunities, became educated and believed in themselves, could be as successful and they wanted to be. Our economic history is filled with success stories of people who came up poor and worked hard to become some of the most successful and wealthiest of Americans. Great successes like Larry Ellison, the founder of Oracle Corporation who grew up being raised by relatives in a poor New York City neighborhood but went on to create a multi-billion dollar corporation. Every day our business economy introduces a new and great success story of some business created in a guy’s garage that is now worth billions.
This always available ability for anyone, no matter what their race, background, or even education to become successful in America is what is commonly referred to as “The American Dream”. Even during regulatory, oppressive environments like the 8 years of the Obama Administration hard working businesspeople still managed to survive and succeed. Now that President Trump is in office and he is, one by one, reversing the regulatory hand cuffs that stagnated our economy’s growth things are instantly improving. Since elected, he has reversed many of President Obama’s executive orders opening up greater opportunity for commerce and business to thrive. The stock market has and continues to take out new highs every week. New jobs are being created, factories reopened, foreign investment is returning; in 6 short months President Trump has managed to completely right the ship and start it sailing in the direction of growth and prosperity.
It is truly the Renaissance of the American Dream today! The regulations are being removed, the restrictions that once prevented young ambitions businesspeople from succeeding are being removed. We are now seeing a great light at the end of the tunnel signaling the opening up of opportunities for anyone who has the desire to succeed to do so. This renaissance has great long term effects. Our children and grandchildren will be afforded the same and some cases even better opportunities to achieve their dreams. What we have learned from the mistakes of the Obama Administration is simply you cant take from one group and give to another group and expect it to be sustainable. It does not and never has worked. That is why 99% of the nations who were Communists have failed and fallen. Everyone has the ability to contribute and everyone has the ability to accomplish things. Some will have more, some will have less, that is FREEDOM. Not everyone is entitled to equal attainment if they do not provide equal contribution. At least that is not how we do it in the United States of America.
The American Dream is now truly alive again! Go get your piece of it. Take responsibility for the direction your life takes and accomplish whatever it is you dream of accomplishing.
