Big Time’s Showdown Tournament is an event that will run in parallel with the $BIGTIME Leaderboard. The qualifying rounds will take place during the final month of the leaderboard round, while the Showdown (final round) will occur in the week following the end of the leaderboard round.

This event is designed to provide a new opportunity for acquiring $BIGTIME tokens, especially for players who might not achieve a high leaderboard rank or for those who want to increase their winnings.

How It Works

This tournament consists of four weekly qualifying rounds where players compete in specific tasks to earn points. At the end of each Qualifier Round, only the top 10 players from that round will earn a spot in the showdown. Based on the rank from each of the qualifying rounds, players will accrue ‘Showdown Points’. These points will give you a head start in the Showdown!

Qualifier Round 1

Starts on 5/21/2024 and ends on 5/26/2024 at 23:59:59 UTC. The only way to get points is by doing Armory activities such as crafting NFT armors or refining through the Armory.

Qualifier Round 2

Starts on 5/27/2024 and ends on 6/2/2024 at 23:59:59 UTC. The only way to get points is by doing Prestige Portals.

Qualifier Round 3

Starts on 6/3/2024 and ends on 6/9/2024 at 23:59:59 UTC. The only way to get points is by doing Forge activities such as crafting NFT weapons or refining through the Forge.

Qualifier Round 4

Starts on 6/10/2024 and ends on 6/16/2024 at 23:59:59 UTC. The only way to get points is by doing Time Warden activities such as crafting, recharging, and dismantling hourglasses.

Showdown

Starts on 6/24/2024 and ends on 6/28/2024 at 23:59:59 UTC. Players will start with the Showdown Points they accumulated throughout the rounds and will be able to earn points in all activities that generate points with the regular leaderboard.

Bonus Points

During any of the rounds (including Showdown), we may introduce opportunities for players to earn bonus points by completing specific objectives. Keep an eye out for these spontaneous tasks to score extra points.

$BIGTIME Rewards

$BIGTIME tokens will be granted to the top 10 players at the end of the Showdown round. The token amount will depend on their standings as follows:

Unlike the rewards from the regular $BIGTIME Leaderboard, these rewards will be sent out directly once the audit period of the leaderboards is completed. This means there will be no vesting period for these rewards.

FAQ

Can I earn points for this tournament as well as the $BIGTIME Leaderboard?

Yes, players will be able to earn points in both of these programs.

What are Showdown points?

Showdown points are rewards players receive based on their rank in the qualifiers rounds of the tournament. These points provide a head start in the Showdown. For each Qualifier Round here are the Showdown Points based on your placement rank:

No matter how many points you accrued in the Qualifiers, your final points that you can carry over to the Final, are based on your placement. (e.g. if everyone had 10,000,000+ pts in the race for Round 1, they would only carry over the rank-based Showdown Points from the table above)

Can a player get Showdown points from multiple rounds?

Yes, players can earn Showdown points from multiple rounds, and this is the best strategy to secure a top position in the Showdown round.

What is the most I could go into the final round with?

If you won ALL Four qualifiers, you have 50k pts from each for a total of 200k pts.

How many players can qualify for the Showdown round?

To qualify for the final Showdown round, players need to achieve a top 10 position in any of the initial rounds. This means that a maximum of 40 players can compete in the Showdown round.

Do events affect the points we can get for this tournament?

Yes, the events will affect the points in the same way as the regular $BIGTIME Leaderboard. Events that apply a multiplier to certain actions will impact the tournament points across all rounds, including the Showdown.

If an action gave me 100 points in the regular leaderboard, how much would it give me in this tournament?

The points gained will be similar between the regular leaderboard and the tournament. The difference is that in the initial rounds, points will be earned from specific sources based on the round criteria. In the Showdown, players will start with a point balance obtained from their performance in the initial rounds.

Do I need to start my craft during the Round for the points to count?
