“What is Civitas?” you might ask
Imagine being part of a community-driven civilization in the metaverse. It is a virtual world made up of multiple city-states that can govern independently through their own subDAO — populated and influenced by like-minded individuals, Citizens and Nomads alike. In Civitas, players can compete or cooperate with other cities to evolve both technologically and economically: own land to build on, harvest from, and stake in to help the city’s economy grow and reap the rewards from its treasury. Citizens can vote on essential matters to shape the city’s future, growth, government style, issues of the treasury, and rewards — as well as trade resources, NFTs, and Tokens with their fellow Citizens, Citizens of other cities, or Nomads.

A separate portal to the world of Civitas, which allows you to collect vital resources and play mini-games for rewards that will then become available on the desktop client.
Responsibilities of a Citizen
Upon acquiring a land NFT, you will officially become a Citizen. A piece of land within a city will be yours to build on — anything from efficient resource harvesters to magnificent wonders. The choice is yours!
With citizenship comes great responsibility. You’ll be expected to participate in subDAO governance, vote for council members, and become a candidate yourself. Fortunately, with great responsibility also comes reward, as you’ll reap the benefits of the city’s success through its treasury reward system.
A city will only thrive through cooperation and determination, so the Citizens must work together. A civilization can only be as strong as its people.
I prefer the Nomadic life
Is the above not for you? Don’t worry. There are other ways to enjoy the wonders of Civitas. You can have your own plot of land to customize without being part of a city. This way, there is no initial investment but still plenty of opportunities to thrive. With time and dedication, you could even become a Citizen and the owner of your own plot of land!
