Marijuana the cure ? (#5)

Marijuana is revolutionizing the United States as it is up for legalization in this year’s election. Most people whenever they think of marijuana all they think about is a bunch of dumb pot heads who just eat and laugh. There is a lot of things we don’t know about marijuana but with more scientific studies and breakthroughs, we will soon know enough for everyone to understand how marijuana is not just a drug for potheads to get that “high” feeling.

While many people may view marijuana as just a drug, marijuana users would beg to differ. Fortunately for the potheads, marijuana is not just an illegal drug as it is now being used as medicine. As mentioned in a previous post it is being used to reduce the effects of childhood epilepsy. This great breakthrough is just the beginning of a revolutionized drug that will be used as a drug. Recently a researcher from Tel Aviv University has made the discovery that marijuana and marijuana exert help repair broken bones. This is an amazing discovery as it has referenced to helping with the bone disease known as Osteoporosis. Osteoporosis is the weakening of the bones from loss tissue which causes them to break easier and heal slower. When reading the article

it mentions, that marijuana exerts like CBD can help strengthen the bones after a fracture as well as make them heal faster. In my opinion this is a ridiculously great discovery because fighting bone disease is something unexplainable. The number of people that will not be in pain would be remarkable. Like mentioned before, helping bones heal faster can assist with osteoporosis. With osteoporosis, the bones would become more reinforced as they are lacking certain nutrients. While helping with osteoporosis, marijuana would protect against terrible bone diseases like osteoporosis.

Osteoporosis is not the only disease in which can be aided by marijuana or marijuana exerts. Osteoarthritis is also a horrible bone disease that is aided by marijuana. Osteoarthritis is one of the most common forms of arthritis that affects the majority of people due to age. Although there is no known cure for this disease, there are methods of helping with the pain. For example, marijuana is a great aid for Osteoarthritis. Even though its not curable, I still believe that relieving the pain is a great start to the fining the cure as it diminishes the pain of those suffering providing more time for research to find the cure.

As much as marijuana and its cannabinoids are helpful in the field of medicine, people fail to see it due to the ignorance of being a “drug”. This thought of marijuana needs to be removed as it can one help cure many diseases. It is extremely aggravating to find out how not many people know about the benefits of marijuana and its cannabinoids. A prime example would be the bone diseases. If you go around and ask people if they know what marijuana does, the majority of the responses will “it gets you high”. Well this is to the smallest extent true, however it is not fully correct. No where have I seen anything posted in a newspaper or even in the news about marijuana and its cannabinoids helping ease the pain of Osteoarthritis, which in fact is the MOST common form of arthritis, up to 27 million people suffer from this. It is absurd how this has not been reported in major news. I can guarantee, if it was at least published in a newspaper some will read and the word will spread quickly, changing the minds of many other people. There is as much publication of Osteoporosis and marijuana as there is for World War 3. Commonly like Osteoarthritis, Osteoporosis affect those of older age. More often than not women are the ones that have the greater risk of obtaining Osteoporosis. If people were to know that marijuana cannabinoids can prevent Osteoporosis, I can guarantee that there would be many more people wanting to legalize marijuana for its medical benefits. How is it possible that little to no people know about this news? It is absurd! This would potentially revolutionize the medical field and the world. There should be a lot more published regarding marijuana and its medical benefits. With this done there would be more people with knowledge about marijuana other than just potheads using it to get that “high” feeling and who knows maybe even some of them would begin to see its affects first hand.
