With the selfie trend on the rise, we are all aspiring to take the best selfies to share on our social media pages — the selfie that would garner the most number of likes. But what we do not see is the risk and danger we place ourselves into while taking those selfies.

Over the years, there have been more tragic news regarding the lives lost as a result of their attempt to take selfies.

Reports have announced that there are more deaths related to selfies than to shark attacks, with India leading as having the most number of selfie-related death. Honestly, with so many deaths caused by selfies, it is time for people to stop and be mindful of their surroundings when snapping that selfie.

So guys, please be very careful and watch where you’re standing at when taking that not-so-important selfie. Because nothing else is more important than your life.
