  1. The content IS important. If it can’t be read, then everyone has failed at delivering the message
  2. There are other ways to force the eye around the page to place emphasis on important elements. Using font-color, should be a last step, not the first
  3. It is a fine line striking the balance between emphasizing content areas (but hopefully it coded semantically correct, right?) and manipulating the reader’s reponse in order to short-circuit the reader’s rational comprehension tools
