Whoop, Whoop!!! We just hit our first 100,000 rides as we clock 6 months of operations!
When we started the Plentywaka journey officially on the 16th of September, 2019, we had only one key mission in mind; To be Nigeria’s leading tech-driven public transportation service with key emphasis on safety, excellence, convenience, and maximum comfort. We launched first with just 25 buses, 25 pilots, 50 Vehicle assistants, and less than 10 staff.
We are 6 months today and with 100,000 rides completed, we can proudly say that we have largely shifted the mindset of Lagosians when they think about public transportation in Nigeria.
Our numbers have grown significantly. At the moment, we have over 53 vehicles (which include Minivans, 13-seater buses, and coaster buses) on our platform with 53 pilots and over 55 vehicle assistants. We record an average of 1500+ ride bookings daily, with 30,000 unique riders registered on the platform. Our App which has been upgraded with better features from its first launch has been downloaded over 36000+ times.
