Ever since I saw Balto as a young human, seeing the aurora borealis was a big dream of mine. It didn’t matter where I could see such beautiful, dancing lights. All I knew is that I’d have to travel for it, and Iceland was at the top of my list. I know there are other destinations, but why Iceland? My goodness, the weather ⛅️ was just right for a night out in May at a food festival with some friends I rarely see. After we made our rounds, I thought a Coke would be nice to top off a successful night of short lines and interesting foods (there was a vendor that served up cakes in the shape of a penis lol).

…But I rather pay $4 for a specialty drink than a Coke.

Sigh. It’s August.

There’s something about it being August that increases my will to be productive/introspective. Maybe it’s because we’re nearing the end of summer. Maybe it’s because we basically only have one quarter left in 2018. Maybe it’s because my birthday is around the corner, and this will be the last year of my 20s :( It seems that the older you get, the faster time flies.
