Yes, there’s a lot of commercial exploitation of violence. When the Kathy Griffin photo of her holding a fake bloody Trump head was making the rounds, a news network decrying her behavior also had an ad for t-shirts depicting Trump holding a severed Hillary Clinton head on the same page as the news story. Who buys these shirts and where do they wear them? Isn’t there enough opportunity to express ourselves without resorting to depictions of extreme violence or is this just the newest way to make sure everybody knows you’re a rebel?

How can Facebook even begin to justify their policies about harassment and violence when there are such disparities in what’s determined to be okay or not?
