The utility for each additional app looks like it’s diminishing. But I think there’s still room to grow in how apps talk to each other. Someone mentioned deep linking and similar to that, maybe there could be an Extensions API where certain apps can open up functionality to external services. For example, I want to keep using the SwiftKey keyboard but extend it with the ability to use the slash in the Slash keyboard. People pay for Chrome extensions all the time and I wonder how replicable that is in a mobile app environment.
