The Bad Guys Are The Ones Invading Sovereign Nations, Not These Guys
Caitlin Johnstone

Another ‘shark jumper’ article from Caitlin.

Kim Jung Un is being treated by the US as the victim is treated by an accused rapist? That’s sick even by your own hyperbolic literary standards.

“Isn’t it funny how Kim Jong Un inherited the exact type of “might press the button any minute now” psychosis that his father had…”

Well yeah, that would be one of the features of a murderous, dynastic, totalitarian, Marxist regime. Maybe you believe the stories of the few who escaped NK are part of a US ‘psyops’ program. I do not.

When I was younger, I was a fan of Ron Paul’s ‘anti-interventionist’ approach to foreign policy. The thing is, the devil is in the details. When ‘bad shit’ happens, the rest of the world wants somebody to do something about it. When Tutsis and Hutus start hacking each other up with machetes; when Russia decides the people Stalin relocated to other parts of the Soviet Union still deserve Russian sovereignty; when peaceful Muslims run over Brits outside of Parliament and behead French Catholic priests; when Afghanistan or Somalia brews up a murderous, totalitarian, religious regime; ad infinitum. And I am not saying we don’t bring a ‘bigly’, ‘big league’ portion of this on ourselves.

The world is an ugly, messy place often in need of good guys with guns. The rest of the world has gotten used to the US being the one doing something about it and frequently loves to complain about it because it never goes smoothly. I don’t see anyone else stepping up to the plate. Maybe the UN, right? HA!

Please list any other countries you think would do a better job as ‘policeman of the world’.
