Well written. I think you were one of the few lucky ones. My ex was and continues to be ultra vindictive even after a five year dicorce and she got a ton of money to sit on her ass. It is unfortunate, but until the laws change, sadly most of us are at the whim of the other party being rational. It has completely soured me on ever getting legally married again.
