Privacy and economic and personal liberty are naturally intertwined. A discussion about privacy without illustrating that struggle is nearly criminal. Privacy and liberty were hard-fought battles. No, they we not our natural states. We earned them. Just because the populace doesn’t understand the issues or what is at stake is not a good reason to shrug and think we’re bound to abandon them. If we are, we’re screwed.
