Information Overload
We live in an era of information overload. This can be overwhelming to say the least.
Decisions, decisions, decisions!
After all, life is but a series of decisions compounded over many years. Making decisions starts from the time we wake up to the time we go to bed. Then cycle, rinse, repeat over the course of our lives. And voilà, we die.
No, but seriously! Where does the energy come from to make all of these decisions anyways?
Do I press snooze just once, twice, or a bunch of times? What am I going to wear? Do I look fat in these leggings? Am I still friends with Jessica on Facebook? Why can’t I see her profile anymore? No, wait, it’s just a Facebook glitch right? Am I addicted to social media? Do I have restless leg syndrome or am I just lazy? Will I ever have six pack abs? The list goes on and on. The decisions are seemingly never-ending.
Again, where does all of the energy come from to answer all of these decisions? How do I have enough energy for all of the important choices let alone all of the daily decisions that will actually help me achieve my goals?
Choose one goal, work on it, then move on!
In an era of information overload, the answer is not to add more insult to injury and try and do all of the things on our to do list, but it’s the opposite, simplify and choose just one!

Simplicity is powerful. Dividing your focus by trying to accomplish too many goals at one time overcomplicates your life and leads to failure and burnout. Concentrate your efforts into accomplishing one goal at a time. Achieve that goal, then move on.
Momentum comes from movement. Movement creates energy. Energy fuels our decision-making process and makes it easier to make more decisions; especially when that energy is derived from passion-driven goals.
The key to achieving your goals is in doing less, but doing it hyper-focused.
