Decades Throughout the Generations (1950s)

Angela this is a very great article. It’s nice to know about other things that went on during the 50s other than the Civil Rights Movement, although that’s not a topic to do away with. I like how you elaborated on the Great Depression. You mostly hear about this event on the surface, but you don’t really hear about the deep affect it had on the American family and what it caused people to do in order to survive and make ends meet. I wonder what America would’ve been like today had the Great Depression not have taken place. It seemed like the economy was doing extremely well before then. It affected the American culture in many different ways. Do you know the root cause of the Great Depression? I like the insight as well on the Baby Boom Era. I had no idea that 3.8 million babies were born at that time. Families were very busy!! :-)
