The objectivity of wikipedia suggests that all of your certainty of Gore’s Florida victory is simply very, very, very dubious. Because of the early call, and because of the other irregularities, it is highly likely that Bush’s margin of victory was compromised to make the vote counts closer than they would otherwise have been.

Of course, we don’t know if those speculations are ‘true,’ only that they are just as supportable as all the other speculations that people make.
