Every politician has taken advantage of their position to “enrich” themselves.

It’s not the speaking fees. It’s the cronyism. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton used the power of her office to direct cash to the Clinton Foundation. When she was Sec of State, she made a decision that was favorable to Russian uranium interests which funneled millions in cash through Canada to the Clinton Foundation.

Your assertion that the Clinton Foundation spends a lot of money on causes is incorrect too. In tax filings from 2008 to 2012 the Clinton Foundation took in over $500 million. It spent more than $25 million on travel. Nearly $110 million went towards employee salaries and benefits and an amazing $290 million, (or 60% of the donations), went towards “other expenses”.

The Clintons are hiding behind a charitable foundation that spends some cash on popular “good works” projects. Their political base puts particular value on those projects and thus is biased to defend them.

They used the power ensconced in one of the most powerful offices in the world to line their own pockets and pay for their expenses. That alone should disqualify her from being President of the United States. Offices in government shouldn’t be for sale.
