Meowth is a tiny feline Pokémon with cream hair that darkens at the ends of its rear paws and tail. It has four conspicuous whiskers on its ovoid head, big eyes with slit pupils, two pointed fangs in its upper jaw, and a gold koban coin lodged in its forehead. It has black ears with brown interiors that are bordered by a pair of lengthy whiskers. Meowth is a quadruped with the capacity to walk on its rear legs; although the games usually show Meowth on two legs, the anime shows Meowth walking on all fours. It has complete control over its claws, withdrawing them when it wishes to move quietly. Its tail coils firmly towards the tip.

Meowth is drawn to round and shiny items and has the unusual ability to create coins with Pay Day, which was also its trademark move from Generation II to VI. Because it is nocturnal, it is known to roam the streets at night and collect anything that shines, including stray cash. When it finds a dazzling thing, its eyes will sparkle and the coin on its brow will glow brilliantly. It shares this fascination with Murkrow, with whom it often battles over items and prey. Meowth is a rambunctious yet fickle Pokémon with human-like intellect, with at least one member of the species training itself to talk. Meowth like to dwell in cities.

Meowth seems somewhat different in Alola. The fur of Alolan Meowth has a pale blue-gray hue. The tip of its tail, whiskers, fingers, and the insides of its ears are whitish-gray instead of brown. Alolan Meowth has silvery eyes and whiskers with a little curve, as opposed to standard Meowth’s straighter whiskers.

Meowth was presented to Alola as a regal gift. The lavish royal lifestyle gradually caused Meowth to deviate from its beginnings and become the greedy, proud, and cunning Alolan Meowth. If its currency or pride is tainted, Alolan Meowth will get enraged. When the kingdom collapsed, the once-rare Alolan Meowth became wild, becoming as widespread in Alola as anyplace else.

Galarian Meowth features a shaggy, greyish-brown beard-like coat, yellow eyes, and a toothy smile. Its currency is now black and exceedingly hard, with the darkest and hardest coins particularly coveted and revered among the species. Galarian Meowth’s physique has partly turned to iron as a consequence of living with a race of violent mariners for many years. As a consequence of several encounters, Galarian Meowth has the ability to evolve into Perrserker rather than Persian. Kantonian Meowth and Galarian Meowth are at odds.

Some Kantonian Meowth have the ability to Gigantamax. It has grown in size and length as Gigantamax Meowth. The body is expanded from the bottom half to the shoulder, and the gold coin is given a sign. Meowth’s eyes become a brilliant gold hue. The tail also increases in length, with the tips expanding. When it attacks, the tail becomes more bigger and bumpier. Three crimson clouds encircle it under the shoulders.

The massive coin atop Gigantamax Meowth’s head generates a great deal of Gigantamax power, illuminating the surrounding region with a golden shine. Its hunger for shiny items grows to the point that it would destroy skyscraper windows and external walls in order to sharpen its claws. The emblem on Gigantamax Meowth’s gold coin is said to be the key to revealing Dynamax’s mysteries.

The only known Pokémon capable of utilizing the G-Max Move G-Max Gold Rush is Gigantamax Meowth.

What counters Meowth?

Meowth is a Normal type Pokémon, which makes it weak against Fighting moves.

The 5 strongest Pokémon you can use to beat Meowth are:

  • Terrakion,
  • Pheromosa,
  • Lucario,
  • Urshifu (Single Strike),
  • Urshifu (Rapid Strike).
