The First Fiat Onboarding Engine for DeFi and Web3
With the mission to lower the barriers to enter Web3, Polarys is introducing a straightforward and fast Web2-like UX product, the Polarys Swap. This first ever fiat onboarding engine allows users to engage with the Layer 2 solution Metis, by buying Metis tokens directly with a credit card and own them in their personal non-custodial wallet.
In addition, every token listed on a DEX will be integrated, enabling users to buy any token through Polarys Swap and get plugged right into the blockchain. The Polarys Swap Engine opens up an easy, simple and necessary pathway for many more crypto curious people to finally enter Web3. The Polarys Swap will later also enable anyone to swap USDC or the native tokens of the 7 EVM chains listed below:

Launch Date
The Polarys Swap Engine will be released on December 8th — just 6 days before our $POLAR token public sale scheduled for December 14th.
We will continue to upgrade our Swap tool in the weeks following the launch of this fiat to Metis onboarding tool, adding the option for users to Swap native tokens or USDC from the major 7 EVM chains and the possibility to swap these for any DEX-listed tokens.
- Polarys Swap V1, first small step (release Dec. 8th): The first fiat onboarding to Metis token (with credit card)
- Polarys Swap V2, opening up DeFi to non-crypto natives (release TBD in December): Fiat onboarding to any DEX-listed token & 1-click wallet integration
- Polarys Swap V3, building a complete swap offering (release TBD in January): Native tokens or USDC from 7 EVM chains to any DEX-listed token and new innovative portfolio builder (allowing users to buy multiple tokens in one go)
Rationale Behind Polarys Swap Engine
Building Polarys Swap is aligned with Polarys’ mission to create a user-centric ecosystem that is friendly to Web2 users and businesses onboarding into Web3. In that spirit, the tool is a key integration to the full Polarys product suite which launches in Q4 2022.
