Okay, you had me until the bit about farmers “keeping their crops”. LOL. First off, most farms are either directly corporate-owned, or are contract suppliers to large agricultural corporations. They need to make money.
And the small farmers and farmers that are contract suppliers? Like most Americans, they do not have the means to hold out on making a living. They have mortgages and farm vehicle and equipment leases. They are raising kids. The same way you and I couldn’t just randomly stop working and continue to pay our bills, farmers are in the same situation. And they won’t be withholding our food, especially since they would lose valuable distribution contracts for their products.
Let’s keep the Chicken Little messages inside the realm of reality.
