PoCoCo

The goal of PoCoCo is to support and launch useful community incentives that will add value in any way possible to the Polkaswap & Sora ecosystems and their community members.

For this reason, we awarded a grant to the Ceres team for building a Polkaswap burn tracker, as it was clearly needed and requested by the community.

This tool will give you a clear view on the PSWAP supply, burn and rewards. We look forward to sharing the results of this collaboration sometime in mid October.

Next to that, we gave a retroactive grant to the builders of Polkaview for their exceptional work building the Polkaview analytics tool.

Their analytics platform collects and displays all kinds of metrics for Polkaswap like number of transactions, number of accounts created and network fees gained in a specific amount of time. These tools have been instrumental in spreading the word and fostering adoption of our beloved DEX and therefore deserved a grant from PoCoCo.

More investments in community driven projects will be made over time; this was just the start.

Trosset #451 Art Blocks Curated

Educating new and existing users for Polkaswap is one of the main reasons of our existence therefore we started the “How to DeFi in Polkadot” series. In these articles, we create more insight on certain topics that are relevant to understanding DeFi and the Polkadot ecosystem. Polkaswap aspires to become the number one DEX for the Kusama and Polkadot ecosystems. Because of the architectural differences between Ethereum, Polkadot and Kusama, the composition and user experience of DeFi in these networks is affected which can confuse DeFi users familiar with Ethereum, L2’s and Metamask.

The series will be expanded with more articles over the coming weeks. Next up: Parachains.

SORA

September was a month full of exciting announcements for SORA, and we know more are coming in the next few weeks.

First of all, decentralized democratic governance did its work. The JP Games referendum to ‘loan the Pegasus World Kit 60K XOR and implement it as the metaverse native token’ has been approved by the community. This approval gives XOR the potential of exposure and use by 30 to 170 million users in the coming years. Read more about it here.

This is great news for the entire ecosystem as it shows that Sora’s on-chain governance is effective in new capital creation to support our ecosystem’s continued economic growth. No hard cap on supply means that there is no hard cap on growth. Citius, Altius, Fortius!

A little birdy told us there will be an NFT auction to celebrate this success.

Talking about NFTs, the SORA community also approved an RFP to implement a smart contract to mint NFTs on Polkaswap. This will be a great addition to Polkaswap’s features, one we definitely look forward to. More about this soon.

Crypto Planet #15 | SORA

Another milestone that has been accomplished was the passing of 2 million blocks on the SORA network. Over the course of these last two months, the SORA network has gone through multiple upgrades without any major issue. The network is even more robust and mature now, prepared for the future.

Next to that, a Polkaswap referral program is under development. Soon you can earn fees by referring friends and family as part of the incentive program for adoption of our cross-chain AMM DEX.

Also under development is an oracle called Soracle. This is excellent news as developing your own oracle gives you control over the core technology and does not make you dependent on third parties.

Last but not least, a new type of stable coin called XST is under development on SORA. This will have a positive impact on the price action of XOR and strengthen the holistic approach of the SORA economic vision.

More on these latest developments will follow in the upcoming weeks so stay tuned!
