doubting democracy

Everybody is talking about democracy and how democracy is being oppressed and neglected nowadays. Democracy is definitely the most attractive type of social and political organisaton. The problem is that in order for the “demos”- that is us, the people- to govern ourselves efficiently each and every one of us must be an illustration of virtue, intelligence and justice, which we are not in the majority.

So in the absence of true democracy we proclaim and struggle for our own subjectively contrived “democracy” which is nothing but a shield for arbitrary truth, promotion of mediocrity, idleness and evasion of our duties and obligations. This false “democracy” always has someone else to blame for its failures and imperfections and prefers to assume a role of a “victim” in the
“ claws” of any other system of values and principles, different from those of its own.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
