WebGL is a thin layer over OpenGL so I imagine the browser itself is going to make very little difference. Jitting Javascript interpreters pretty much love this stuff so I don’t think you’re going to get much difference there. In ‘real’ 3D development there’s a lot of caching models on the video card itself — can WebGL do that?

I don’t understand why you’re not just using https://unity3d.com/ :)
